There are lots of places that are selling food storage options. Dehydrated and freeze dried are the most common for long term storage. Shelf life times for most of them range from 7 to 25 years. Only trouble with the current commercial long term food storage options is the price. If you can afford it, great, get as much as you can and you have the quickest long term food storage option available.
For those on a tighter budget think rice and beans. Both of these are cheap and you can store them for a long time. If properly sealed in an airtight container with all the oxygen removed you can make your own 25 year shelf life long term food storage. You just need some mylar food storage bags, a few oxygen absorbers and an iron.
Rice and beans may not sound like something you would want to eat every day, but it’s way better than nothing and you can get started on the cheap.
